This is the part that makes the whole thing worth doing. The razor is bought once; the blades are what you actually spend money on, and they cost almost nothing.
They all fit
Double-edge blades have been the same shape for over a century. Whatever razor you own, the blade drops into it. You are never locked to one supplier, and you can change your mind whenever you like.
How long a blade lasts
Five to seven shaves is normal. Coarse growth and a heavy beard shorten that, a light beard lengthens it. The number matters less than the feel: a blade that starts to tug instead of gliding is finished, and using it further will irritate your skin long before it stops cutting.
Storing and throwing them away
Keep them dry between shaves. Rinse the head under a hot tap, shake it out and stand the razor on its end rather than leaving a wet blade clamped in place.
Used blades go in a metal tin or a blade bank, not loose in a bin.

The kit pairs the razor with a pack of ten stainless steel double-edge blades — about two months of shaving for most people. Standard size, so they fit any double-edge razor you already own.
